We may use providers such as Twilio to transmit, receive, and manage these communications.

Message frequency varies depending on how you use Parv. Message and data rates may apply.

You may reply STOP to applicable messages to opt out and HELP for assistance.

Opting out may prevent you from using portions of Parv that depend on SMS or MMS.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, SMS/MMS opt-in information, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We may provide this information to service providers that help us operate our messaging Services, but only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, or support those Services.

Consent to receive promotional text messages, if Parv offers them, is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

Location information

Parv may infer approximate location information from information such as your IP address.

We may also receive shipping locations or addresses that you explicitly provide when using transaction functionality.

Parv does not currently require precise GPS location information as a standard part of the Services.

If we introduce functionality requiring precise location information in the future, we will provide appropriate notice and controls where required.

We may receive information relating to you, your collectibles, or transactions from other sources.

These sources may include:

grading companies;
collectible databases;
pricing and market-data providers;
payment processors;
shipping and logistics providers;
fraud-prevention providers;
publicly accessible sources; and
other service providers.

For example, we may use certification information to help identify a graded collectible or market-data information to estimate a collectible's value.

Information received from third parties may be combined with information you provide to us where reasonably necessary to provide or improve the Services.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers may use technologies such as cookies, local browser storage, server logs, session identifiers, and similar technologies to operate Parv, maintain sessions, remember preferences, analyze performance, prevent fraud, and understand how the Services are used.

If Parv later introduces advertising or tracking technologies that require additional consent or opt-out rights, we will provide those controls as required by applicable law.

interpret buying or selling intent;
identify relevant matches;
generate offers or responses;
assist with negotiation;

perform other product functionality.

Information necessary to perform these functions may be processed using AI service providers such as Anthropic.

We seek to provide service providers only the information reasonably necessary for the applicable function.

AI systems can make mistakes. The use of AI to process information does not change the rights or protections described in this Privacy Policy.

We use information to measure and understand how Parv performs.

For example, we may analyze:

website activity;

satisfy tax or financial reporting obligations;
respond to lawful governmental requests;
comply with court orders or legal process;
enforce our Terms of Service;
establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or
protect the rights, property, or safety of Parv, our users, or others.

New purposes

If we want to use personal information for a materially different purpose not reasonably covered by this Privacy Policy, we will provide notice or request consent where required by applicable law.

Your privacy controls

You have choices regarding your information and how it is used.

We want users to have practical ways to understand and manage their information.

Because Parv is still developing, some controls may currently be handled through direct requests rather than through a dedicated privacy dashboard.

Managing and updating your information

You can ask us to review or correct certain information associated with your use of Parv by contacting help@parv.io.

You may also be able to update information directly through Parv interfaces where those controls are available.

Managing your SMS preferences

You may reply STOP to applicable Parv messages to stop receiving SMS or MMS messages.

You may reply HELP for assistance.

If you opt out, we will maintain information necessary to remember and honor your opt-out request.

You may subsequently request to resume messaging where permitted.

Exporting your information

You may contact us at help@parv.io to request a copy of certain personal information associated with your use of Parv.

Where applicable law gives you a right to data portability, we will provide eligible information in an appropriate portable format where reasonably practicable.

Correcting your information

If information Parv maintains about you is inaccurate, you may request correction by contacting help@parv.io.

We may need to verify your identity before making certain changes.

Deleting your information

You may request deletion of eligible personal information by contacting help@parv.io.

Deletion requests may be subject to exceptions permitted or required by law.

For example, we may retain information reasonably necessary to:

complete transactions;
maintain financial records;
comply with tax obligations;
resolve disputes;
process chargebacks;
prevent fraud;
detect abuse;
enforce our agreements;
exercise or defend legal claims; or
comply with applicable law.

Sharing your information

When you choose to share your information

Some Parv functionality may involve sharing limited information with another user as part of a transaction.

For example, when you purchase or sell a collectible, information necessary to complete delivery or administer the transaction may be provided to the relevant transaction participant.

We seek to limit these disclosures to information reasonably necessary for the applicable transaction.

Your complete collection or private passport information is not automatically made public merely because you use Parv.

When Parv shares your information

We do not disclose personal information outside Parv except as described below.

With your consent or at your direction

We may disclose personal information when you direct us to do so or otherwise provide consent.

For example, completing a transaction may require us to provide shipping information to another transaction participant or logistics provider.

For external processing

We use trusted businesses and service providers to process information on our behalf and help operate Parv.

These providers may currently include:

Twilio — SMS and MMS communications infrastructure.
Supabase — database, storage, authentication, and backend infrastructure.

These providers may process information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for Parv or as otherwise permitted under their agreements and applicable law.

This list may change as Parv's infrastructure develops.

Payment and financial providers

Payment providers such as Stripe may process information independently as necessary to provide payment, verification, fraud-prevention, compliance, and payout services.

Their processing of information may also be governed by their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

Shipping providers and carriers

When you participate in a transaction, we may provide information to shipping providers and carriers where necessary to:

create shipping labels;
deliver packages;
track shipments;

Transaction participants

We may provide another buyer or seller with information reasonably necessary to complete or resolve a transaction.

This may include information such as:

recipient name;
shipping address;
transaction information;
collectible information; or
other information necessary to perform the transaction.

We do not provide another user with unrelated private information about you or your collection merely because they transact with you.

For legal reasons

We may disclose personal information if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

comply with applicable law or regulation;
respond to valid legal process;
respond to an enforceable governmental request;
enforce our Terms of Service;
investigate potential violations;
detect, prevent, or address fraud;
address security or technical issues;
investigate stolen or counterfeit property;
protect against harm to Parv, our users, or others; or
establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

Business transfers

If Parv undergoes incorporation, financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or another transfer of the Parv business, personal information may be transferred to the entity that succeeds to or operates that business.

Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice regarding material changes to the entity responsible for your information or the privacy practices governing it.

We do not sell your personal information

Parv does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

We also do not currently “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Parv does not currently operate a third-party behavioral advertising business.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS/MMS opt-in information, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Keeping your information secure

We design our systems to help protect your information.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against:

unauthorized access;
alteration;
disclosure;
loss;
misuse; and
destruction.

Our safeguards may include practices such as:

encryption in transit;
access controls;
authentication;
restricted access to production systems;
monitoring and logging;
fraud-detection measures;
payment processing through specialized providers;
security reviews; and
limiting service-provider access to information reasonably necessary for their functions.

We also rely on providers such as Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Twilio, and other infrastructure providers to implement security controls within their respective services.

However, no communications network, internet service, database, software system, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect access to your devices, phone number, email accounts, payment accounts, and other credentials used to interact with Parv.

Exporting and deleting your information

You may ask to access, export, correct, or delete eligible personal information associated with your use of Parv.

To make a request, contact help@parv.io.

We may ask for information necessary to verify that you are the person associated with the request.

We will respond to valid privacy requests as required by applicable law.

Certain information may not be eligible for immediate deletion, including information we reasonably need for:

active transactions;
completed transaction records;
fraud prevention;
security;
dispute resolution;
chargebacks;
tax and accounting obligations;
compliance obligations;
enforcement of our agreements; or
legal claims.

Retaining your information

We retain different types of information for different periods depending on what the information is and why we need it.

For example:

some profile or collection information may be retained while you continue to use Parv;
communication information may be retained to maintain conversational context and provide customer support;
transaction and payment-related records may be retained for longer periods because of financial, legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution requirements;
opt-out records may be retained so that we can honor your communication preferences;
security and fraud information may be retained where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse; and
some information may be deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably necessary.

When you request deletion, information may remain for a limited period in backups or disaster-recovery systems before being removed through normal deletion processes.

We may also retain de-identified information that can no longer reasonably be associated with you.

Parv's transaction Services are intended for adults.

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or sell collectibles through Parv.

Parv is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to Parv in violation of applicable law, contact help@parv.io so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Compliance and cooperation with regulators

We periodically review our privacy practices and this Privacy Policy to help ensure that the information we process is handled consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

Data transfers

Parv is operated from the United States.

Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries in which they or their infrastructure operate.

Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between jurisdictions.

Where applicable law imposes requirements concerning international transfers of personal information, we and our service providers will use appropriate mechanisms as required.

U.S. state privacy law requirements

Certain U.S. state privacy laws provide residents with specific rights concerning their personal information.
